Does the prestige of unis matter?
I've got 4 A*s in my a levels, gold DofE, and loads of extra academic reading and courses outside of sixth form..... really, I could go to pretty much any uni if I wanted to, but I've chosen to do a degree through the OU due to personal reasons. But my head of sixth kept trying to convince me to apply for Oxbridge and kept saying I'd regret it if I didn't go, and that I was wasting my potential etc. etc. Do employers actually look down on you if you don't go to a prestigious uni? Or do they care more about the final grade and work experience?
