I believe it can be done however you would need to do the coursework which takes up a lot of time (filming, editing, scriptwriting etc) and juggling that alongside the theory and set products, it may be a lot to handle in only a year.
The teacher will mark your coursework and their marks will then be moderated by the exam board. The teacher also selects the films you will study as there are different options.
