If I drop out having just started 2nd year, can I get funded for 2024

Hi,

If I drop out having just started 2nd year, can I get funded for a different course, starting from 1st year again, which starts 2024.

Thanks.

If you've started 2nd year and passed the date for leaving without fee liability then you would count as having 2 years of previous study. That means that the first year of a new course wouldn't be eligible for a tuition fee loan unless you can provide evidence of Compelling Personal Reasons leading to you dropping out so that one of your previous study years can be disregarded.

Hi there,

Like PQ said it would be best to know more about your current year. Have you received the first Maintenance Loan payment? Do you know if your university has been paid yet?

Thanks, Graeme
