Finance dept will pass my overdue account to external debt collector agency
Hi! I was an international student at one of the uni in the UK. When COVID hit, my family and I faced a severe financial difficulties which I had no choice but to withdrew from the course. I stopped studying and continued working for 2 years and now I'm finally continuing my study here in my home country while working part time. Today I received an email saying my overdue account at my previous uni in UK will be passed to external debt agency - the amount was considerably a lot for me as its 6x more expensive. i plan to plead for this case like start paying once i get a full time job after my study finished, but IF they do pass it to the debt agency, what would happen to me? will i get blacklisted here in my home country? any advices highly welcomed and appreciated!!
