Expect more than a week for your first offer! I totally forgot to update you omg! I received 5/5 of my offers!!! Bristol, Southampton, Sheffield, Nottingham and Liverpool!

congrats. how long did it take between the time you submitted to UCAS and the time you got the offers (congrats on 100% btw)? my son got his admission to Liverpool in about a week, but we swapped it to Southampton before the 14-day deadline. Maybe that was a mistake, we will see. Which uni will you choose? Bristol seems to be the most competitive, but the infrastructure, labs and the rest seem really dated there (compared to Bath, for example). we also like Sheffield but not enough choices available unfortunately.

I submitted UCAS application 20 days ago exactly! It can vary significantly depending on the university. I asked to change my Southampton Aerospace Masters specialisation and that resulted in my offer from Soton being last so I received that decision last! I am thinking of firming Bristol and insuring Southampton but I am very stuck between Bristol, Southampton and Sheffield so I wish your the son the best of luck!

Wow, well done! That must be a great feeling you have right now lol. Good luck with your decision, I don't know how I am going to choose if I do get offers back because they are really quite good unis lol.
I changed one of my uni choices just before I submitted, changing Durham to Loughborough and I woke up yesterday morning to an offer from them which was quite nice. At least I have a backup choice now if all goes wrong. I also got a response from Bristol but I was put on hold which is annoying but it's better than a rejection lol.

thanks for the answer. reading between the line, are you actually applying to specialized masters? my son is only applying to undergrad. that difference might also explain the time of response (I suppose). in any case, yes, having to choose between these 3 is not easy. on paper, Bristol has a better international reputation (for aerospace) than the 2 others. for the UK alone, they are all very much fine. Keep us posted on your choice and your reasoning behind it, always interested in learning from successful candidates like you!

Samee I cannot choose between a firm or an insurance ahh! Well done in the lboro offer!! Honestly lboro have such a great aero course in comparison to durham and im happy you made the change! 🙂
Dont worry about being put on hold for Bristol! Lots of other people are being put on hold for them! Fingers crossed u get bristol!

Sheffield have offered me a place now too! They are coming in now quite quickly, loughborough was only a couple of days ago lol.

Awh thank you so much! Yes I applied for an integrated masters as its just way more easier too as if you miss the entry requirements for masters for most of my courses they’ll accept you onto their Bachelor course for a lower entry requirement so its a win win

Congrats on the Sheffield offer too!! What is the entry requirements for your course as I received AAA expecting AAB as I got an A in AS FM
may I ask what did u guys get for gcse? my dream uni is Bristol for aerospace but I am worried its too competitive, I currently have a*aa for predicted but worried that maybe my personal statement is too weak😣😣 could I know what kinds of things u guys included in personal statement please? thank u

I was put on hold for Bristol but I am predicted the same as you and in GCSE I got three 9s and the rest were 8s with one 6 in French (hand in face) lol. I also got an A in AS further Maths which hopefully might count for something!

I applied to BEng for Sheffield as I wanted it to be another backup choice and at the open day they said that I could easily change onto the MEng course at the end of the first year as everyone does the same modules. Therefore the grade requirements were slightly lower being AAB.

I got 99999988877 in GCSEs then got AAAA for AS Level and predicted AstarAstarA
My personal statement consisted of: 3 books, 1 MOOC, 2 virtual work experiences, 1 article, 1 documentary, Senior Maths Challenge Twice, Summer School at a University, Exttra curricular like Piano etc

Unfortunately they told me it’s impossible to switch courses back now but they have a page dedicated to it so I’m not sure why
