Hi, personally I did not take the IGCSE however many people I know who took further maths did find it easier for the first (16 week) term due to the further maths knowledge, hope this helps!

I took IGCSE Cambridge Additional Math (Exedel Further Pure Math isn't offered at my school) and found IB AA SL very easy. The foundation will help support your learning in IB AA HL but there is nothing beyond a basic foundation. IB AA HL is difficult. If you love Math, do it. If you NEED HL Math because of a pre-requisite, know that you will have to work very hard and it's part of the process. No short cuts. Usually university courses that require AA HL, a minimum grade 6 is required.
