Human foods for dogs

SO -
We have a 6-year-old malshipoo, she's about 20 pounds, (fyi her name is Molly), and we really want to add some raw foods into her diet. We learned that it improves their health if you don't just feed them kibble.
We have given her some "human" foods already, and we have a good idea of the things she like and doesn't like.
Likes:
Chicken, beef, bison, basically any kind of meat.
Boiled carrots
Apples but only if they're peeled and sometimes she doesn't like them.
Strawberries (occasionally)
frozen blueberries
peanut butter, pureed pumpkin

Doesn't like:
sardines
vegetables (lol)
random foods she chooses to not eat on a whim
kibble (she prefers not to eat it when she has other options)

Please help, as you can see, she is very picky and we are trying to find foods that are healthy and that she will eat

UPDATE: She loves chicken hearts and livers (:yucky:)

My dog loves fruit(check which ones are safe and she likes), fish and egg, we don’t feed him a raw diet but he has them occasionally he has salmon flavoured kibble and he seems to like that more than his previous beef and lamb and I think salmon(or some kind of fish) treats, check with your vet if you’re not sure about anything

did you talk to the vet about the food you give to your dog?

Obvs i dont know what your vet had to say, but the vets i work with weekly often advise not having a raw diet as dogs arent designed for human highly processed foods so its not great for their digestion long term. Meat, either as it is, kibble, or tins/pouches are what dogs are supposed to live off. Thats not to say they should only have that, i have a collie who we feed twice daily with biscuits, tinned meat and any spare boiled vegetables from our meals. But it is very important to make sure you dont give any poisonous veg like onions, its awful seeing dogs come in as an emergency needing to be made sick. Hopefully that will never happen if youre careful! Also, ive seen some cases where they have developed allergies to certain human foods, one i saw had an awful skin condition that resolved when put back onto a normal meaty dog diet. Any new changes should of course be introduced very gradually to ensure no stomach upsets. Potatoes, rice and pasta are often safe to feed no problem 😀

Hey! My dog (poochon) is EXTREMELY picky - we went through so many dog brands looking for food she’d like. Some days she’ll like a certain type and others she won’t (the amount of dog food we have now is shocking). After little luck we went to the vet and they recommended plain chicken and vegetables (always check which ones are safe first), liver and heart, as well as fruits ti help her have a balanced diet - these have seemed to work so far (hope I’m not jinxing myself haha) and now we just rotate her between home-cooked foods and shop bought foods. We’ve never personally tried raw food, so I can’t give you much advice for this beside talking to your vet or searching for good brand online. I thought I’d just let you know that you’re not alone and it does get better haha

My dog adores eggs and of course meat. Also she eats row carrots.
One of my jobs is providing socialisation training and petcare to very pampered dogs.
Most of the adult dogs do not eat canned dog food, raw egg or any raw meat.
Favourite treats tend to be: bananas, blueberries, carrots, cooked pumpkin with no spices nor added sugar, eggs, oranges, slices of apple without seeds or stems, sweet potatoes, peanut butter without xylitol, plain popcorn without salt or butter.
I'm really careful about my dog's diet, preferring to prepare his meals myself. I ensure he gets a diverse range of lean meats and whole grains to maintain his health. Additionally, I prioritize essentials like pet medication without prescription and various vitamins, and supplements in his nutrition plan. Take care.
