Does the University of St Andrews participate in UCAS extra?

Just a random question, guessing not as the university will be oversubscribed?

If you take a look at the UCAS Undergraduate End of Cycle Data Resources 2003 page on the UCAS web site, select "Applications & acceptances" under providers in the left-hand side, then select "S36 University of St Andrews" under "Provider" in the top-right corner (deselecting "All" as you do so), then select, "Number of accepted applicants" in the top-left and "Not main scheme application" in the bottom-right, you'll get a graph and table showing the number of applicants St. Andrews accepted in each of the last few years who did not apply the main UCAS scheme (i.e. not via one of their initial five choices). This will include UCAS Extra and UCAS Clearing. Last year there were just 10 such accepted applicants. (Well, the table suggests either 10 or 15, depending on how you read it). That's across all courses.

If you want, you can change the "Age group" drop down along the top to something like "Subject group - HECos" to see what type of courses these applicants were accepted for.
