I currently arranging to suspend my studies for this academic year, but my university has been up some concerns about possible overpayment. My last date of academic engagement was in October 2023; will this mean I have an overpayment from Student finance, and if so, when will this need to be repaid?

Hi there. Yes, you may have an overpayment as we would pro-rata your entitlement from your last date of attendance. We can only confirm the amount you have been overpaid by (if any) once we have processed the suspension from the university and we would send you a letter confirming this.

If your reason for suspension is due to health reasons, they need to mention this in the suspension they send to us. Thanks, Leah.
