Missing a deadline for a coursework set by a teacher

My first draft for my history nea is due today. Its 3000-4000 words long and I've done 2000 so far. I got 2 frees before it so i can probably get 3000 done. Would i be fine if asked if i couldn't just give in what i got so far and hand in my first draft on Tuesday. The actual due date is a month later so i don't think it should be a problem but its just embarrassing to probably receive a lecture for not completing it on time.

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.
If the deadline is still a month away, I would say just speak to your teacher and say why you haven’t got it done. If you have a valid reason it shouldn’t be a problem. Just make sure that you work really hard to get it done for the next time, wishing you all the best of luck with it I’m sure you’ll be glad to get it done 😊
