The question is where would you go and what do you do with all your connections from living here all your life 
Personally, it's not quite reached that point and the kids are so bedded into the system and approaching uni, can't see that being a responsible choice. I could see myself working abroad for 6 months of the year (when the kids are away to uni) from Sept to March and then back in the UK for 6 months but haven't quite figured out how housing would work.
