am i screwed

i didnt take gcse modern foreign language. i want to go into medicine. i speak bengali but dont have gcse in it as cant write or read. how much will this impact my appplication if at all?

Not a sixth former atm but imo i think you'll be bala. As long as u get good A level results and maybe grade 7s across the board in all gcse then Unis or sixth forms won't rlly care. While it's true mfl is helpful, it's not a prerequisite for medicine. Trust. Gl in making ur parents proud bro. U can do it!

doesn’t affect your application at all. one of my friends did a language gcse externally in year 12 because it was her “home language” so if you really want to do it, you still can! unis don’t really care ab it though (they only care about English language, maths and the amount of grade 7/8/9s you have).
