Advice
I want to pursue my PhD outside of India but as someone who has just completed her master's and a background of work in different fields with a weak academic record and publications stuck in editing or awaiting I knew it would be difficult to secure one, especially since I have been applying to funded ones. Therefore, I also applied to MRes in a couple of UK universities and fortunately got an offer from Sussex University. However, the cost of fees and living is extremely high and I would be taking out a huge education loan for just this one year. I've spoken to them about jobs but I've been told RA positions aren't available and might open up while I'm there and I can also look for part time whilst being there. So I'm confused. I don't know if I should take up this offer with its clear huge risks.
