PhD Progression appeal at KCL

Hi. does anyone know how progresion appeal work at kcl or any other uni for phd? i submitted mine and will hear back in 30 working days. what will happen in the next?

Does the principal read the appeal and ask the university to respond and then get back with a decision in light of the response from the university?

Or does the principal read the appeal and decide if it’s worth being reconsidered and then get the student and university involved again?

Or is it done some other way?
