cambridge history gcses

I know Cambridge does not care about gcses as much as Oxford but what would you need in GCSE and A-Level/EPQ to get into Cambridge for history. apparently, requirements might be higher for me as I go to a private school.

Requirements are not higher for those going to private schools. That’s a myth.

The only thing they do is that when they look at your grades to compare you to others, they look at them in the context of what your school normally gets. So if you got say 8888877777, in a poor performing school, that will be seen as a bit better than the same grades at a top performing school. The type of school is quite rightly irrelevant, as some highly selective state schools get better grades than most private schools.

I second what the other reply said. it is all contextual. you just need to do better than the average at your school.
