I am looking to go to uni in September and need to sort out my student finance. I am planning to move in with my mum at the end of July. How do I complete my student finance application form for my mums when I don’t currently live with her but will be when I go to university?

When you apply you'll be asked where you'll be living during the academic year, even if this isn't your current circumstances.

So, you can indicate that you'll be living with your Mum when we ask for your course details.

Does this still apply if I am staying in accommodation at university. I need to put my mums details down in terms of household income etc as she will be the one supporting me when I’m at uni but isn’t who I’m living with now

Hi Euan,

So will you be living with your mum when you are studying or in student accommodation? Your mum will still be able to support your application even if you don't live together.
