Ibuprofen is an Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory drug, as said in other posts before. It is available over the counter (OTC).

It reduces swelling, inflammation and fever. And also reduces muscle cramps ( therefore it is used a lot for period pain)

It can be used by children over 3 months (in liquid form), and cannot be given in tablet form for children under 12. So it is a good alternative to paracetamol.

Also it should be used with caution for those who are asthmatic, as it can cause an asthma attack or make an asthma attack last longer.

And it should not be taken for those who have ulcers, as it aggravates the stomach.
NSAID and pain killer - it has antipyretic, antiinflamm and analgesic properties
