They invited everyone they were going to give an offer to for an interview. I think just to get as many prospective students to see the university as possible increasing their likelyhood of choosing Manchester. Quite a few unis have done this.

i got an offer...ABB, but wen i went i was talking to admissions tutor and he sed they had 1500 apps, interviewed 500 but only have 350 places
