Hi.

I'm asking on behalf of my boyfriend what the standard/facilities are like for cricket at Edinburgh. Any cricket-related advice would be appreciated. Thanks. xxx

They do a lot of socials and charity matches, especially with St Andrews. My friend is in the girls team.

I was going to post here earlier. I'm no cricket expert, but there are a number of clubs in Edinburgh. You'll find a lot of them only adhere to the usual summer season which might not suit your boyfriend's needs. If you/he wants to have a look around on the web then googling Edinburgh + cricket gets you most of the clubs. The most prestigious is of course Edinburgh Academicals (but they're like a real club, so it equally depends on playing standard).
