Fashion Work Experience

Ok, basically I really want to do a fashion management or merchandising or buying course in uni, however in some I know in London College of Fashion they say that they want work experience as well as good grades... however, I'm just not sure what kind of work to get for this as this is more businessy fashion rather then design or anything.. so what type of work do I do and more importantly WHERE can I find it?? Also, I don't have much time apart from in the summer and weekends to do it... I've looked on sites and can't find much and if I do it's for uni students.. however I'm still at college!!

Anyone know what I can do to find work experience or in the same boat as me???
