Wish I'd gotten to have seen the rest of the campus now! I mean, I had the chance, but I really wanted to get the train, and get on my way to Leicester!

All of you out there: how do you rate Birmingham? Could you live there? Whatever your answer, why?!

The campus is amazing I swear. I've visited it loads, and it's one of those really perfect ones, it's not so spaced out so you have to trek far, but its not so close together that you feel isolated.
Also it's literally 10mins from town which is the bestest place ever

I'll join... If you'll all let me!

I'm doing A2 Geology, and as you'll spot in my signature, it's my chosen path in life! Anybody else applied where and to the courses I have? Anyone got tips on the Bristol interview?!

Got an offer from Southampton today. V weird, as I said I didnt want to go to interview cos it was too far away. Happy tho
It's always good to get offers isn't it! Well done you! Same with me and Leeds really; went to an open day in the summer, found it waaay too far away from sunny Cornwall... Glad they want me though!

For Geology. I'm happy too, just not sure if I'm going to go there... need to have a think about it...
Just got back from my Soton Visit Day/Interview.
I should be getting an offer of BBB

If you've been what did you think of the place?

The NOCS is just incredible in my opinion! It's new, it has state of the art facilities, a huge amount of knowledgeable staff who are all enthusiastic about their jobs and its bright and welcoming! Southampton is now 100% my first choice uni! I went to Cardiff yesterday (drove back this morning in time for college! ) and there was something about it which just didn't click for me this time! I am not overkeen on the location of the halls of residence at Soton, or perhaps the area itself but it does seem a very good university and a place i can see myself living for several years!

Congratulations!

I'm still waiting for my Birmingham offer almost three weeks after my interview... Is this normal?!
Sorry- i am so hyped up i have to tell someone! I now have six uni offers, all for Geology! Yay! I have decided on firm being Soton, insurance being Portsmouth! This is such good news! Portsmouth only want 220 points which should include two A levels- so i am guessing this means that if things do go badly, i should still be okay! Im so happy!

I agree, the NOCS was utterly amazing...but...I really didn't feel anything for the place. Also, the course seems really amazing with some great opportunities, but it's straight Geology, which isn't really what I'm looking for. I'm really torn at the moment, the NOCS blew me away, but the place just didn't click with me. :frown:

I recieved an offer this morning threw the post! They offered me BBB as my grades to do the normal Masters year, but if I reach the AAB-AAA then I can do the International Year

So thats 5/6 offers!

to be honest with you, applying for straight geology is probably a better idea, and you can then specialise as you go on, and if what you intended does not turn out to be what you wish to specialise in, you will still have many options as to what you could pursue.
Point to consider though folks: almost all Unis which offer Geology in some form or other do the same modules for the first year whether you're on straight Geology, Environmental, Applied, Resource, Palaeo-biology, or whatever!

You only really need to choose after your first year!

Same goes for BSc/MSci too!
