26 year old doing an apprenticeship?

Hey all, i'll be turning 26 soon and I've decided on a career change. I want to do Carpentry. I did it when I was 16 but only lasted a year and it is something that have always seriously regretted not sticking with. Am I too old to do an apprenticeship as I know they are usually for school leavers? also are there any good websites or people I could go through to get one, I've tried the CITB website but there's no real solid advice on there.

Cheers in advance :top:
You can still do an apprenticeship at 26, the rate of over 24's in apprenticeships has increased x 4.

You could have a look at your local FE colleges and search for carpentry courses whilst looking for employers. Try the apprenticeships.org.uk - the Gov't site also.
