What is the name of this genre of theatre?

The genre of theatre whereby a play is written based primarily around transcript of interviews. e.g. The Laramie Project

Any ideas? I know there's a word for it but I can't think of it and it's bugging the hell outta me!

Verbatim Theatre I think you're referring to.

Verbatim Theatre here in the UK as Robbo said. It is often referred to as Documentary Theatre by American playwrights, critics, et cetera. This term doesn't soley refer to text taken from transcripts of interviews - many practitioners use the 'found text' in a different way to still produce Verbatim theatre.
