Does having a position like Head Girl in your Upper Sixth year improve your chances of getting into Cambridge (or indeed any other university?)

Sorry about all these posts with questions, but I want to find out as much as I can before September so I am not rushing around like a headless chicken (like 75% of our U6 were)

It's impossible to tell. Admissions tutors are humans, and not automata; some will look favorably on those who've held 'positions of power', some will be indifferent or averse to them. The main thing is having the right grades, and, more importantly, being the sort of person the interviewers want to work with for the next three or four years.
