Southampton Solent University has over 140 undergraduate courses on offer and a selection of more than 40 postgraduate courses. It has a broad selection of subjects to choose from including those in business, technology, media, and also specialises in courses in maritime study, creative industries and sports.
Standard undergraduate tuition fees in 2014/15 are £9,000 per year for UK/EU students. International students' tuition fees depend on the course studies and vary between £10,080 and £11,140 per year.
Recent investment means Southampton Solent University provides high-quality facilities. Students on many of its courses have access to modern technology as well as support study areas including extensive maritime facilities.
Since 2010 the university has spent £100 million on developing its facilities. Completed projects include a £1.4 million site for the School of Art and Design, a £4 million sports facility and a £2 million media academy.
There is a wide variety of modern accommodation for students who want to stay at Southampton Solent University, with a selection of over 2,300 single study rooms spread across six halls of residence.
Most of the halls are situated close to each other around campus, within walking distance of the main facilities, which provides a real community feel. All halls are self catered and some rooms have their own en-suite facilities. Rent costs on average £124.88 per week for an en suite room in 2014/15.
