I don't really know where to apply for accommodation, I will be on the strand campus. I am likely to put SSA then GDSA, but unsure what to put after that
doing medicine i was recommended to stick GDSA ahead of SSA .. but i prefer the location of SSA so much more! right next waterloo = massively advantageous...and besides, surely getting to guy's campus from SSA isn't that hard? bus from st thomas' / tube from waterloo to london bridge station right?
any help would be massively appreciated, but i was thinking:
1) SSA 2) GDSA 3) Wolfson 4) ??!?! No idea what to put after these 3.... :/

i'm in similar position to you although i will be on the strand campus.
my order is 1) SSA 2) GDSA 3) Wolfson 4) Brian Creamer 5) Rectory 6) All the intercollegiate 10) Hamstead 11) KCH 12) Liberty
i don't really want brian creamer or rectory but they are close and self catered
does anyone know what the food is like in the intercollegiate halls? i am pretty fussy with food only eat like normal stuff i guess (pizza, pasta, chips, chicken, etc) not really into fish, indian, curries, etc
Is accommodation first come first serve? Also, what are the chances of a Londoner getting accommodation?
Accommodation isn't on first come first served. You have the same chances as someone who applies now and someone who leaves it until the deadline (30th of June i think it was, not sure though).
I've just firmed my Physics with Astrophysics offer and now i am thinking to apply for accommodation. I was wondering which is the best choice - the intercollegiate halls or king's residences?
I'm also trying to find the best price/quality rate..
Hey all I'm so undecided over accommodation at the moment.
I'm hopefully going to be studying medicine so my top choice is looking likely to be Wolfson. But then I'm really unsure of all the other accommodation places. GDS seems really nice and is the next closest to Guy's campus but is quite expensive and I don't know if it's worth it for just an ensuite. :s
Also, I wanted to ask if anyone has any experiences at the Hampstead residence? Is it friendly/sociable? What's the area like? Also if there would be any medics out there? EDIT: How long does it actually take to get from the Hampstead residence to Guy's because I keep reading conflicting things?
So what would people say are the best accommodation to be in aside from SSA if i am going to be studying on the Strand Campus and am not too fussy atm about whether i go catered/self-catered ensuite/shared.. im just trying to see what my best options are
Hi, is there a form online? Because I have found the hard copy of the application form, but I just can't seem to find the link to the online application. they keep linking me to, "...ac.uk/accomm" but that is simply the accommodation info page. If anyone can direct me or send me a link it woud be greatly appreciated. I bet it's right in front of my eyes...

Wolfson are sociable and 5-10 mins on tube/20-30 mins walk Hampstead 20-25 mins on tube but ridiculously sociable, same with KCH and they're both getting refurbished this year.
If you want to pay a bomb for location then GDS/SS are good, but bare in mind you are very limited with who you can get to due to security/keycard access, so its harder to socialise. Also, its nice to escape central after being sat in lectures for 6 hours, coming back to leafy Hampstead and bumping into Jez from peep show in Tesco Express is hard to beat ;D
Don't weigh in "oh my lord 20 mins on the tube" for the sake of it, you'll have to commute in your other years anyway, best to get used to it now
Hi, Seeing as you're the only person I've really come across that lives in Hampstead I was just wondering if you could answer a few quick questions... What's the Difference between North Hampstead and South Hampstead Halls? How many people are on a corridor? Is it sociable/easy to meet people? Realistically how long would it take me to get to Strand Campus? Are the halls anywhere near Hampstead village/heath? Lastly, do people still go out in London or do they tend not to bother, go to local bars pubs etc? I'd really appreciate it if you could answer these questions because Hampstead does look really nice, thanks so much x

I second this I'm really suspicious and thinking there has to be a reason why Hampstead is so unpopular, it seems perfect other than being a bit futher out..
