If you can recognise those pictures then I would be impressed. All the pictures I could find online are much newer and the city looks much less trashy than when I was living there.

Here's one street that I recognise that has retained its trashiness:

This place has CHANGED and it took me a while to recognise. The pavement is different, the buildings behind it look better, and the playground used to be much smaller and simpler with just plain yellow plastic with red iron railings.

This park hasn't changed a bit. There were local football matches in there and we occasionally went there on school sport days. The trees on the sides weren't trees before, they were a mess of lots of thick weedy plants and some wild sunflowers.

Looking at those pictures really makes me miss it :frown:

I've never been robbed lol, I do live near a park where a couple of people have been molested though - lovely. It's not as as bad as like Barking though.

Just being really open and crude. Me and my friend were in Valentines park last year and were approached by several different men who were atleast 30+, it was just weird.

And I've had a few experiences in Barking where guys have just been too forward...just creeps me out tbh
