Yes they can. I will be more interested to know how many can they do in a day though.

Depends on whether they have to finish for it to count as one

On that basis, getting aroused is an addiction cos then you can't think clearly. But we do get aroused a lot sometimes a lot in a day. That doesnt make it an addiction though or does it.

We get aroused yes, but do we mastubate every time? No... Normal people can get aroused and not mastubate. If you're addicted you HAVE to mastubate to be okay

I would think so.

U go blind and go hairy

In all seriousness, the opposite may happen. It is claimed that in those men who are genetically vulnerable to DHT (have the male pattern baldness gene), regular masturbation, or sex, can trigger or accelerate male pattern baldness due to the increase in testosterone following orgasm. I remain sceptical and not sure if science really proves this.

To me its about how many times you felt it. But I guess girls orgasm is different than men.

Yeah it is different. I can do it multiple times a day but I don't orgasm, however I do feel satisfied after

Might rub your foreskin to red raw if you do it too hard.

Trust me, you DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS.

Mastubation is driven by a sexual urge, its a response to something completely natural. The idea that not mastubating makes you any less addicted is like an ex smoker with a nicotine patch saying they are no longer addicted. The urge is the addiction not the response. As such there is no set number that makes someone addicted, as a sexual urge is natural component, people need to address biological urges the need is not the addiction anymore than someone eating because their brain tells them is addicted. People eat way before they come close to starving, the reason such urges exist is becuase we are supposed to fulfil them. Everyones libido is different and changes based on other factors such as diet and stress so one person 1 a week might be another 3 a day.

I would say people are addicted, when they are doing it outside of their urges, people doing it has habit unrelated to sexual urges or people who will masturbate rather than enjoy a normal balanced sex life. When people are regularly jacking off in their office rather than having sex with their wife or gf, or masturbating when they can't even maintain arousal then you have a problem.

The idea mastubation is dangerous or wrong is just an old religious hang over. There have been plenty of proved benefits from lower cancer rates to lower blood pressues, all found by actual scientist rather than priests and spiritual wackos.

Agreed! I'm pro-**** haha! Was just discussing what I'd call addiction - not that I think masturbation addiction is too common.

From what I have heard from my guy friends, 2-3 times a day is pretty average for a lot of guys. I don't see the harm in masterbation no matter how many times a day you do it as long as you aren't hurting anyway or looking at anything dodgy/illegal.

So what is the difference between doing it multiple times and not orgasm ? Is there any discharge when its orgasm ? Cos usually girls don't.

After carrying out numerous scientific experiments on this exact subject I can confirm you'll survive.

LOL, Absolutely brilliant!!!

**** no. 2-3 times a day is too much, especially to porn.

I just made a post here http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?p=43611159#post43611159 about the chance of cancer.

And addiction itself has nothing to do with how much you do it. It's measured by impulsivity, difficulty in stopping (can't go a couple of days? congratulations on your addiction) and brain changes. Some people can abuse substances, binge on food, gamble far too much etc without getting addicted. But there is a causal link.

All addictions manipulate natural mechanisms to override satiety. Impulsivity developed by addictions in general is linked to deltaFosB accumulation, behavioural addictions manipulate dopamine, heroin manipulates your natural opiod receptors, stimulants like cocaine and meth work on a combination of dopamine, (nor)epinephrine etc receptors, alcohol on GABAb receptors etc. "It's a natural reward" is the reason that substances or behaviours are addictive - because they manipulate natural reward mechanisms.

Masturbation can be dangerous if not done in moderation in terms of brain changes. But of course, everyone in the West overindulges on anything they can get their hands on.
Just because some behaviour or substance has the potential to be beneficial doesn't mean it can't be dangerous. Alcohol, GHB and heroin lower blood pressure but you sure as **** don't want to get addicted to them!

Well you don't reach orgasm.. ie you can still enjoy it you just don't reach that high point. And well you always get wet but no you don't 'cum', although some girls never do, even at orgasm

if a guy tells u that he might be doing it a lot more often. i only say it out here because we 're all anonymous. in real life i tell ppl i dont masturbate because that makes me look like got no luck with girls.

i masturbate just to keep women off my mind so i can focus on other important stuff.

If masturbation is good for your mental health, why do I always feel crap after porn? :frown:
