Any smart asses out there?

If your one of them, please could you work out question 3 in this paper. I struggled with it a bit, but i got the answer 125/4, is this correct?

It's not very difficult. At A, -2x+5 = 0 -> 2x = 5 -> x = 5/2.
At D, x =0 -> y = 5.
As ABCD is a square, AP is perpendicular to AD, so its gradient is 1/2.
Thus the equation of the line PA is y - 0 = 1/2(x - 5/2) using y-b=m(x-a), which becomes y = 1/2x - 5/4.
Hence at P, x = 0 -> y = -5/4.
Thus P = (0, -5/4) and D = (0, 5), so PD = 5 - (-5/4) = 5 + 5/4 = 25/4.

Yes, 25/4 = 24/4 + 1/4 = 6 and 1/4, so your answer is correct.

I was so close, the stupid mistake i made was putting 5/2 instead of 5/4 for the y intercept of p
but anyways thanks!
