I have some expertise on the subject, and I would add that Tim travel can be truly be simulated, as one cannot just warp back into the dinosaur age.
So travelling back in time will never be possible

It's possible to travel to the future through time dilation. However, it's not possible for someone to travel back in time unless they travel to another universe.
