Israel Cuts off Palestinian Access to Their Own Water Supplies

According to an experienced reporter on Palestine, 50 percent of the water to a city of 40,000 people has been cut off during Ramadan, a time “when people need to have access to food and water more than any other time.”

Absolutely disgusing and inhumane.

This article cites an Al-Jazeera report from June 23 (http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/06/israel-water-cuts-west-bank-full-crisis-mode-160620133005799.html), which was found to be false.

“Water Apartheid” Was Really Just a Burst Pipe, But the Media Don’t Care

Following correspondence with HonestReporting, The Independent has refused to acknowledge the central issue surrounding the publication of this story, and has, instead, amended the sub-header under the main headline to give the Israeli side more prominence. The sub-header now reads: “Israeli government insists there is ‘no truth’ in claims and says shortages down to faulty water lines.”
...
...
Yet it turns out the “water shutoff” was nothing more than a burst pipe, that Israeli workers were already working diligently to fix. COGAT, the Israeli agency that coordinates activities in the Palestinian territories posted this video of the burst pipe.

not sure what that has to do with cutting of water supply to a whole town?

Are you aware how difficult it is to catch them? Are you aware that the Palestinians have been attacking the Israelis for years? Honestly, the whole situation is ****ed.

EDIT: Looks like the president of Palestine is also a member of the PLO too.

Yes i am aware of both of those things, the truth is that both sides are responsible for the deaths of innocent people on either sides of the border. Still, its never justifiable to punish innocent people for the sake of avenging innocent deaths.
Maybe they just wanted people to be forced to keep the holy fast of Ramadan.

Spoiler

It isn't, you're correct. However, the Israeli government cannot appear inactive against the threat, they would look weak and could potentially be elected out of office.

So in that case they should do their best to find the attacker and punish that attacker harshly to send a message, rather than cutting off water supply to 40,000 people, likely to include the elderly and ill. That just acts to escalate the tension.
