Underage at freshers?

Hey, I am 17, how badly does that affect me going to the Fresher's week? Like am I even allowed to buy tickets, or should I not rush anything at all? Is fresher's week - only parties every single day? Or are there other things going on?

It depends on the university and their rules at the end of the day.
Like my university during the Freshers events they still ID'd people on the door to the SU because at the end of the day, even if they have a licensed bar, they still have to obey the law of the drinking age. Therefore, I wouldn't rush into buying tickets. You may be allowed into into the bars and stuff to party and enjoy yourself, you just won't be able to buy alcohol. Freshers Week is 'parties' every night but there is a lot of activities and socials going on during the days.

At the end of the day, it's up to you if you want to take the risk.

I'm fine with not drinking, so I'll try to find ways to still socialise, haha, thank you so much!

fresher usually has lot's of things going on there is the fresher so fair where you can learn about the city I was given a voucher for a tattoo at one of them there are usually sweets drinks deals that you can pick up you can learn where the best clubs are where social support is there is also the sociitys fair where you can join a cub or society anything from chess to (and this is a real thing) Quddich ( really you tube real life quiddich) if there is nothing there that takes your fancy you can start your own club . Some Scottish uni's have events for underage students you may even find a soc for non drinkers . Also you usually get your student card and a toure of the uni I. Your course and there are binding exercises we had a math test in the second day not to taxi g I spent the rest of that day exploring the town there are nights out but also house (OK hall) parties play the age card and you mY even get a girlfriend out of it of course if you ean't the full experiance defer for a year.
