Why such low levels of First class honours in law?

I've been comparing the rate of first class honours degrees given to Birmingham law students with other universities. The rate seems very low at around 6 percent compared with other universities that have around a 15 percent rate of first class honours. Does anyone who goes to Birmingham know why this might be?

Can you please post a link to the source where you have taken these stats from. Seems bizarre*

this year it was over 10%.

not sure why it was lower in the past, though.

Do you study at Birmingham Law? What is it like?
graduated this summer.

good things:
all optional modules in final year
campus is good

bad things:
jurisprudence is compulsory in year two
avon room for all lectures

birmingham accept alot of people with much less than AAA now. you may be sitting next to people with as low as BBB on the law course. this may diminish the reputation of the course over time.
