Is sociology boring?

i guess it depends on how you look at it. i find it really interesting, but i do know some people who hate it. if you like discussions and debates you'll probably like it because of all the different theories and arguments that you'll learn. it's a good option for people who don't like 'sciency' subjects because it can actually be classed as a science, but it doesn't seem like it- it's much easier.
Please dont take sociology as your major for graduation..you will be bored and its horrible.

Is sociology boring?
Want to pick it but not too sure?
Thank you.

As an A level sociology student, its totally boring, dry and so dull. It is ntg like those analyst subject which are economics, business and accounting. At least I dont doze off when i study business and accounting.
As with any subject, it is not for everyone. I did A level Sociology and a degree in it and I had a brilliant time. What I would say is that people who do it at degree level often have a variety of different career goals so there can be divisions at times. There was a big difference between learners who wanted to go into social work, teaching, and local government. If anyone wants to do a social sciences degree like Sociology or Psychology, I would highly recommend doing a fourth year after it to specialise in a particular area. I felt like that fourth year made me a lot more employable. There are also lots of companies looking for social science graduates for their graduate programs too (not my cup of tea, but I know a lot of people who earn big bucks compared to me - I've been teaching for 10 years)

Arden do some great, flexible social science courses https://arden.ac.uk/about-us/faculties/faculty-of-social-science
