Did I have to confirm my application removal with the university?
I substituted my choice for Reading about 2 weeks ago and today I got an email from them seeking to confirm something on my application as they're are in the process of considering it. Was I supposed to tell them I wasn't applying for their course any more? I thought Track or some element of UCAS would've let them know? I hope I'm not in the wrong... 
You shouldn't have to tell them but last year I applied to Birmingham uni and substituted it for another choice but a few weeks later, Birmingham sent me an offer by post 
it wouldn't have been valid though since by the time they had gone to update UCAS Track they would have realised that I had rejected them. 
I think some unis print their applications off as they come and don't bother checking UCAS for updates so I guess you should just let them know.
