As per Affinity, above. Basically you need 70% to get a first in any discipline and it's generally "easier" to get that mark in a science/maths based subjects where you either get the answer right or wrong. That's not because science/maths subjects are easier but because arts subjects are subjectively marked - there's generally no right or wrong answer and the mark you're awarded depends not just on the conclusion you reach but also on things like the quality of your writing and the references which you use.

That rule won't be the same at every university and obviously it varies. But it's a good and usually accurate general rule. :smile:
