EY are probably regarded as the poorest of the big4.

Anyway, to the OP - summer internships are v hard to get (especially in Corp fin) and on a first come first serve basis. So dont worry. I was rejected a summer internship, then applied the next year for a full graduate position and got it. It is because the spaces fill up v quicky.
