Switching Seminar groups?

Is it possible to do that? Ive been placed in to one of 2 seminar groups for my course, but the proffessor that we have is a bit of a tit, id rather go into the other group. Problem is, im not sure if they take attendance, but if they dont, would it be okay for me to just sit in the other one rather than this one?

Ask the other seminar leader if you could attend his/her class instead? Or ask the student office if its possible to change it. Do the two groups have the seminar at the same time? If not, just say you have to work or something and this one will be much easier to attend. The only time seminar groups are important is when it comes to in class tests as you would most likely be expected to be in your seminar group.

The seminars are at different times. Seminars arent even complusary though, so surely we wont be having class tests if not everyone will be attending ?

I know seminars aren't compulsory but if an in class test is part of your assessment then most students would want to attend that. We were told we can go to the seminar groups we want as long as we stick to our original group when it came to tests.

Since the seminars are different times, go to the student office and see if you can change it to the group you want.
