Further Maths A-Level - distance learning

There is no college anywhere near me that offers Further Mathematics A-Level.

So I was wondering about what the options might be for taking this A-Level?

I have heard before of students simply studying up on the syllabus of an A-Level and then taking the exam at a college, though is it possible to take the exam at a college even though they don't offer the course?

If it is, how do I go about obtaining the syllabus of Further Mathematics A-Level and then organising the sitting of the exam at a college/school?

Thanks!

I am sure it is possible: to take an exam in a College who doesn't offer it. You'd have to speak to some sort of examination officer in the college. As for the resources, I'm un-sure. Getting the syllabus is the first thing you should do and then, well, I am sure there are places you can get pieces of work or something or other.
I don't know much about distance learning, but I am self-teaching quite a few Further Maths modules.

Ask your exams office/maths teacher if you're allowed to take modules by yourself. Then look around at some of the syllabi online, I'd reccomend the OCR MEI syllabus because the textbooks are quite good for self-teaching.
As for choosing the modules, you HAVE to do FP1 for Further Maths, and for the other two I'd reccomend whichever you're not doing in normal maths out of D1, S1, S2 & M1.

Hope that helped.
I'm currently teaching myself the AS course under AQA, my school is entering me for the exams free of charge, all I had to do was buy a couple of textbooks.
AQA specification- http://store.aqa.org.uk/qual/pdf/AQA-6360-W-SP-11.PDF
Textbook- http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0435513346/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=0199149852&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=159P9TH3YKCFQ51QSWH3

Under AQA, I think the general structure is to do FP1 and two applied units (I'm doing M1 and M2) at AS, and then FP2, FP3 and FP4 at A2.

I'd advise you to go and see your head of maths, who will no doubt be able to enter you for the exams, and perhaps support you with your learning.

it's entirely possible. My sixth form colly only allow june exams (which I disagree with due to the heavy workload in the end) so I wen to a private college to ask if I could sit a jan exam in their centre, they said yes!

Try contacting the further maths support network (google them). They arrange distance learning M3 lessons for me!
