First timers below 92kg.

EVENT 1
Farmers walk;70kg in each hand to be carried over a 50m course.
EVENT 2
Log press;70kg to be lifted from floor to over head.
EVENT 3
Dead lift;170kg for reps.
EVENT 4
Yoke carry;180kg to be carried over a 50m course.
EVENT 5
Load medley;60kg barrel/60kg barrel/70kg steel block/80kg atlas stone & 90kg atlas stone.

10kg heavier farmers then doing at first comp but i did 140kg trap bar a few days ago.

Log is 10kg heavier so may struggle.

Deadlift i got 3 easy reps yesterday. Would want 5+ at least by then...

Trying a 160kg Yoke at comp next weekend so should be fine.

No idea for loading medley but would want at least the Barrels,,,

That's true tbh. It has been more quiet lately. Maybe people moving home form uni and no access to regular gym so not posting in the section...

Not enjoying fasting?

I am hating this hwole cutting + cycling more and really hot weather.

Very looking forward to Competition next weekend though and if i don't struggle too much on log and farmers(Reckon log could be tough but farmers will be easy) then i'll sign up for the next one 3 weeks later which is u92 so plenty of time to relax and eat whatever i want.
How did you become section moderator?

I enjoy it as a whole but it does have its downsides such as dehydration.

I thought you were allowed water tbh. that makes it a giant amount tougher tbh. Be nocturnal?

Nah that's a common misconception. That defeats the purpose of it though, you have to go about your normal day to day activities, it's meant to be difficult
For Reference

Trap bar 9",
High Handled Trap bar 13",
Trap bar on step 15",
High Handled Trap baron step 19"

Weigh in 77.5kg
Got my target, and this was after breakfast as well.

Squats,
20 * 5, 60 * 4,

Walkouts( practice for the yoke)
100 *10 seconds,
150*8 secs (didn't walk, lol),
belt,
150*10 seconds, walked out,
170*20 seconds, walked out further.
170*20, Damn that hurts traps tbh.

Seem like i was just being crushed completely tbh. Wish i could practise proper yokes but nvm.

Wsm one arm press
20, 30, 34*1,
(old pb 36),
38* 1, (PB)
wraps,
40*1, (PB)
42*f, f,
psyched out tbh at 42kg, 38 flew up and 40 was relatively easy.

Trap bar deads on step (15", comp is 16")
40*6, 80*3, 120* 3, 160*1,
190*1, 1
didn't want to kill my back. First was very off balance so reset before second. Think my step wa slightly tilked which dind't help.

Fat Grip holds
120*crap.

Normal bar doh holds
120*crap

Light session on Tuesday then done for comp.

Don't worry I've been watching, but work and everything else has made me lack in energy

I've never read this log, ever. Not even this time.
I follow most people's logs on here but am normally too lazy to post.
Always lurkin' though
Just a light session today is the plan.
Last session before comp on saturday.

Weigh in 77.5kg,

Afternoon weigh in as well.

Squats
bw * 8, 60 * 5 paused,
80 * 5, 100 * 5,
115*6, 6

Nice and easy and light

**** power clean and press
40*5, 50*3, 50*1,
60*1, * a few.
man my clean form is bad. Thank **** it's a log bar at the comp.
Presses were fairly easy though tbh.

Db rows
40kg * 15, 5.
Sweating my ass off. Gym was like a sauna. CBA, Bailed at this point.

Short light session and didn't kill myself. Success.

Thanks Becca.

Leaving half 7 so will be there at half 8 to weigh in then wont be lifitng until like 10:15ish for first event so plenty of time to eat.

Super annoying i have no scales at home so going to play ti safe with no breakfast until afterwards.

Came 12th/14 last year.

18 people this year. Want to beat at least 2 people again and small aim of getting up to 12th again overall would be good.

Some of the other people have been training for 10+years and i'm at like 2.5 on/off with 1 day or proper strongman training...

Log lift:
Got 3 last year.
Want a good 5 reps+ as my pressing strength is a lot better than last year. If i get 8 i'll die of happiness.

Deadlift Medley:
(Trap bar replaced with duckwalk bar)
I got 15 reps in practise to want to match that for medium happiness point, 18 would be cool and 21+ be awesome.

Arm over arm sled pull
(Replacement for fingals fingers)
Upper body strenght and grip strength not the best but hope to just try my best and come ahead of a few people...

Farmers+Yoke
Crap last year. My speed is awesome now and practised up to heavier weights for longer distance at home. Farmers part i want to do awesome. No idea what yoke will be like tbh but hopefully can do well in this.

Loading Medley
I'm fairly quick but i lack any technique on loading things. Been told to expect Kegs, Sandbags and stone. Lol, no tacky but hopefully they have some. HAve watched enough strongman to not make completely ridiculous n00b mistakes. Hopefully beat a few people here.

My write up will probs be sunday morning tbh.
Will probs either drop in during the day tomorrow(after each event) or in the evening for quick results.
