PHD funding stipend payments

Hello

I have a fully funded MRC (medical research council) PHD with a stipend of £13,590 starting this september/october.

Is it paid in monthly installments or quarternally? Beginning/or end of every month?

It is paid but monthly. But the precise timing will depend upon your own university. Someone in your department should be able to tell you roughly when they were/are paid.

I was told the payment scheme for my studentship (ESRC) in my offer letter...mine is paid on the 1st of everyone month, incidentally, but I suspect it is different depending on your uni.

The University get paid it quarterly by the RC, how they then distribute it is up to them. I get mine quarterly.

My funding is 85% scholarship and 15% teaching salary, and both will be paid monthly on the first of each month from October.

I hear all departments are different.
