As I'm sure you're aware the HYMS bursary for years 1-2 is split into £1500 fee waiver and £1500 cash.. so when on Student Finance applying for your tuition fee loan do you have to put £7500 :confused:

I'd say put the full £9000 because have you even applied/been accepted for the HYMS bursary? It isn't available for current students so I don't know but for most bursaries that pay fees they contact the Student Loans Company for you and pay the difference in fees. So if this is the case the SLC will pay £9000 to HYMS who will pay £1500 back reducing your debt to £7500. If you've already been guaranteed the bursary then put down £7500, but I didn't think you could be guaranteed any bursary until you've been income-assessed and been accepted on a course.

I got hull and was wondering if anyone had heard which halls they've been placed in after sending in that letter? I emailed mine and just wondered when I'm likely to hear..? :smile:
