Hull York Or Plymouth for medicine?

Hey there. I've got offers from both Plymouth and Hull York (Hull campus) for a100 medicine.
I'm really struggling to choose between the two.
Teaching:
Plymouth uses EBL/PBL and HYMS uses PBL so the teaching is very similar. HYMS does prosection, whereas Plymouth used 3D antomage tables. This is one thing I'm worried about. Anatomy seems harder to learn without feeling and visualising, using prosection compared to virtual dissection seems like it would suit my learning better. Especially if I want to go into surgery, I'd need a good ground for anatomy. I've also heard that the timetable is less full compared to other unis and that there's more independent learning, I'm not sure how well that would work for me.
Placement:
I know both HYMS and Plymouth offer early clinical contact, but I'm not sure to what extent. Plymouth's placements are closer to the uni, whereas HYMS's placements all over the place, so after year 2 I'd have to move around quite a bit, so I'd probably need a car and I don't know if I can afford that ...
Plymouth also has a large teaching hospital. I'm not sure about the variety of placements but I've also heard that HYMS have good placements.
Intercalation
HYMS has better intercalation opportunities.
Research
HYMS has some great research centres, whereas there seem to be fewer research centres for Plymouth.
Location:
I really like the location of Plymouth and the city, near Cornwall and beaches, it's 2 and a half hours ish from where I live and trains are cheaper too. I don't know much about Hull, but the city seems quite small, and there's not much to do? It's 3 and a half hours away from where I live and trains are much more expensive. I'm not too sure about the cost of living comparison between hull and Plymouth?
Societies:
Both have lots of great societies. I feel like plymouth is a bit more rounded with interactions with not just med students compared to HYMS, but this is just guesswork.

I am going to offer holder days for both so hopefully that'll help me decide. I've considered a few things and am till stuck, so if anyone could give me some pros and cons of either plymouth or HYMS and any advice I would hugely appreciate it!!

Thank you.

Hey, I’m currently a student at HYMS but based in York, feel free to quote me if you have any specific questions about HYMS and I’ll do my best to answer.

Hi, not sure if you’ve made decision yet? A friend told me that HYMS was much more organised and on the ball than Plymouth at the offer holder day. Pastoral care also seems very good 👍🏻

Hi,

Have you seen Quick Draw Anatomy for Medical Students? It simplifies anatomy into line diagrams to help learning. There's also a new YouTube channel Dr Fox Quick Draw Anatomy to go with it?
Good luck
