LOL too true! Im five too! High five gurl! Plus being tall doesnt equal brains. Actually there is a saying in arabic that goes like "الطول طول النخلة و العقل عقل السخلة"
Its literal translation is: its height is like the palm tree's but the brain is like the goat. Lol i promise u it rhymes in arabic

*Low five.

Is there any way at all I can become taller? Everyone is so much taller than me and it makes me feel really self concious.

Short people rock, just saying.

Think about all the things you could do if you were average height (say 5ft 10) then compare it to what you can do at your height now...

You shouldn't put yourself down because of it. Its how you are, if people want to judge leave them too it!

Wow you must live in viking sweden lol

Average height for america/uk is like 5'7" last time I checked?
Apparently sitting/ standing up straight instead of slouching will make you 1/2 inches taller. Worth a try.

No.

They do, the air is all thin for tall people.
I have a male friend who's 5"3 and he's really popular and well-liked
I'm like 5.3/5.4 and all my friends are taller. It doesnt help that my my closest friends are 5.11 , 6,1, and 6,3 :frown:

but don't worry if a girl cares then she isn't the right girl for you

25-34 age group, average height is 1.776m which is 5"10 approximately

I'm 18 and still growing, half an inch over the next 3 years and I will be about 5"10...

Care to tell me where you got the 5"11 figure from?

He can't and won't because he's trying to piss you off. National average is 5'9".5, technically.
Doesn't matter how tall you are or smaller, you're most probably sodding awesome.

you've got some hope if your Dad is tall cause genetically you should be the same height as him if not taller.

you have to put things in perspective and look on the bright side...i mean some people are born blind and deaf and have to live life in a wheelchair...being short is not that bad

besides, you can make up for it by working out loads, thats what alot of short people do and it works

keep smiling

You could try asking your doctor, and (s)he will say whether or not it is a good idea for you to take them.

At 18 it's doubtful he'll grow significantly taller, if at all. I think guys are supposed to reach their adult height at 17-18.

Also I'm not so sure that you're expected to grow as tall or taller then your dad? I imagination two tall parents are more likely to produce a tall child, but a tall man with a short wife..I don't know if some sort of mid-level would be more likely?

I'll I know is my dad is 5 ft 11 (I think..), my mum is 5ft 2 and I'm 5ft 7, I got to that height by 18 easy.

OP just don't worry about it. If you're concerned about wanting a partner who's your height or shorter..there are plenty of girls around in the 5ft 3 or shorter bracket. You could get insoles to give you an extra inch or so if you feel the need, but surgery to make you taller is very complex, extreme and IMO unnecessary. I'm not tall, I've had no issues, I'm the shortest guy in my friendship group. I know of shorter guys, hell my uncle is 5ft 3, and they've had no issues. It's only an issue if you let it be one.
