The Student Room Group

Universities which accept students with grades lower than entry requirements.

There is for some universities a large difference in the average ucas points of a student entering the university and the actual entry requirements. I was wondering what these universities are, and what courses they were for. Please state the course and university you applied for, the entry requirements of the course, your a level grades and if you got in or not.

The Unistats website will tell you the average point score achieved by successful applicants. If you're interested, you can compare that to their typical offers yourself.

However, most unis will in some circumstances accept people who miss their offers. But they can't accept everyone. If you want this information because you think you'll miss your offer, well, it's not guaranteed.

Speaking from what people have been telling me, Lancaster is pretty leniant for a lot of courses (obviously not the super contested ones like Management, Medicine, Ernst and Young degree etc.) but generally pretty cool about missed grades if you ring them
