ICD codes for COD arising from transplant complication

If a transplant patient dies from complications arising from the transplantation, what ICD10 codes are we supposed to use for "Cause of Death" on the death certificate?

Specifically, do I just use the ICD codes for the relevant diseases below:

Graft versus host disease

Rejection

Post-transplant ymphoproliferative disorder

Much appreciated if anybody with specialist expertise knows how to deal with this one.

This is a question you should discuss with a)your consultant and b)the coroner's office if you're not sure. Those three are all different, so it would depend on what the patient actually died from. You may then need to put more details, including perhaps the condition which led to the transplant in the first case, as 1b/1c/2, as needed.

Ok, is there no means of sorting all CODs by complications of transplantation? So, for example, for GvHD and Rejection, 2 would provide the common denominator - transplantation - among these two deaths.

1a Sepsis
1b GvHD
1c x
2 Transplant

1a Rejection
1b x
1c x
2 Transplant

Is this (ensuring there is some common denominator) commonly done?
