Dissertation Help. Adaptations of War Horse?

Hey everyone,

I have just wrote my dissertation proposal.. and the feedback I recieved is that my subject was just too broad.

I am writing about War Horse and it's adaptations.. from book... to theatre... to film.

I originally was going to write about the problems and advantages directors face when having to adapt War Horse to fit their stage... be it theatre or film.

I really need to narrow this down.

Any ideas of what I could write about?.. Still based on adaptation.. but a lot lot narrower.
I need a particular aspect of this to focus on...

Anyone who has wrote a dissertation before will know what it's like.
