i am preparing for my Science GCSE's and im worrying, however i have two really good isas behind me ones a B and ones and A* i was wondering what would be my final grade if i were to get something like a D in the exam paper.
What do ISAs contribute to your overall grade say if you get an A or A* ISA?
They're 25% of the overall UMS that makes up your grade. An ISA is worth the same as one of your AQA science exams. The total UMS for the course is 400 - each component is 25% - three exams and and ISA. The exams are out of 60 and the ISA out of 50, but your mark, depending on boundaries will be converted into a UMS mark for that exam out of 100. Your total UMS is then added up to make it fair, and consider all the individual difficulties of each paper, and then your grade is calculated. A* is always 90% of the UMS, A always 80%, B 70% and so on...
No it isn't.A 30 is a D. 33 is a C.ISA grade boundaries really change The guy asking ,i suggest you retake your ISA.If not,you can still get a C or a B if you revise hard. To get a C you need BBC To get a B you need AAC
