Computer science summer courses

Hey guys,

Does anyone know of any computer science/software engineering summer courses? Potentially with specializations such as web development, security etc. and not just generalist courses.

I've done quite a bit of research but can't find anything interesting... So far only General Assembly seem to offer something towards what I'm interested in, but their courses are extremely expensive.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.
I got an email about this organisation the other day.

Although I heard about it from the other side of them wanting volunteers to be mentors on summer courses. No idea how they choose the people to be on the courses. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks for your comment. However, that program looks more suited towards a younger demographic who are looking to enter university.

Maybe I should have mentioned that I will soon have completed a 4 year degree in Computer Science and Business, so I'm looking for something a little more challenging
Oh sorry I did not realise.

In that case why don't you get an internship or a job?
Here at Oxford we offer week-long courses in software engineering, and security. They are aimed at people working in the industry. You can build them up into a MSc over a few years if you want, or just take a couple as stand alone courses. Details are here: https://www.cs.ox.ac.uk/softeng/brochures/ Courses run throughout the year (except August.)

I don't think my technical skills would be of much use to an employer, who would much rather hire someone who has been doing their specialization for a number of years. I have studied HTML/CSS and SQL in my own time, and have studied Java during my course. However, my knowledge of Java is quite basic. This is why I'd like to complete a course to improve my skills.

Thanks for your post! I have had a look at your course offerings, and although they seem very good, they seem very theoretical. I'm looking for something more practical in nature.
