Edexcel Unit 6, Hitler...how much to write?

Hi, I'm quite a slow writer and it can be extremely annoying. As you're aware, there are two questions, one 20 marks and one 40. I've worked it out i'd aim to spend 30 mins on the first and an hour on the second.

Realistically, how much would be aiming to write for each...i know people say it is quality and not quantity, but still, you've got a better chance of getting a higher grade if you've wrote more.

Also, out of interest, is there anyone here like me who is quite a slow writer? i try writing fast, but my writing becomes unreadable.

If I were you I would spend a reasonable ammount of time planning. The first question should be about 2 sides and the second 4-5. It's really hard to judge though because the answer booklets are always wide ruled.

I'm not a slow writer but my hand writing becomes un readable in exams :frown:

Why not try doing lots of timed essays to increase your speed, or if you really write that slowly couldn't you request a lap top?

Do remember though it is quality not quantity and it is better to have a well focussed essay than a long waffle.
